Maureen has been a mental health clinician and group therapist for over 30 years in a variety of settings including at the Toronto Hospital Eating Disorder Centre, Sheena’s Place, Gilda’s Club, Casey House and in private practice. Currently, she is the Education Development specialist at Casey House creating educational programs for health care professionals and support service providers caring for people living with, at risk for, or affected by HIV. At Casey House she designs and develops symposiums, mental health series, video training tools and online content to adapt to the changing needs of people living with HIV and the clinicians who care for them.  She graduated from the University of Toronto, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education in 1996 and became Alumni of the Ontario College of Arts and Design in 2001. She has been affiliated with the Canadian Group Psychotherapy Association (CGPA) for many years and has presented at conferences and served on the local arrangements committees. She has co-lead a variety of group therapy workshops at annual CGPA conferences, as well as national and international health care conferences. She has recently been appointed to the CGPA board of directors.
