An Addiction Medicine Specialist, group therapist, and clinical educator practicing in Toronto, Ashok works with persons with concurrent disorders in both hospital and community settings. He facilitates psychoeducational groups and therapy groups, and he provides education to medical learners, exposing them to group formats. He is an adjunct lecturer with the University of Toronto, and is on staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre and Women’s College Hospitals in Toronto. He maintains a relationship as a consultant with a First Nations community in the Sioux Lookout Zone in Northwestern Ontario, providing support to their local addiction program. He is also returning to school to start a Master’s program in Health Practitioner Teacher Education in the Fall of 2017 at the University of Toronto Dalla Lana School of Public Health. He is the Founder and Medical Director of AAPRICOT, a multi-disciplinary community partnership program servicing the marginalized and vulnerably housed concurrent disordered patients in the City of Toronto.
