Categories & Fees

There shall be one class of membership for individuals in the Association:

Patron Members are persons who:

(a)  subscribe to the objectives of the Association, (Association Objectives)

(b)  Demonstrate interest and integrity as stated in their Membership

Patron Member see the value of, CGPA group therapy, training and facilitation, and would like the association to be sustainable. They support the association remaining affordable and available to all who use groups in their work from all regions of Canada. They have the motivation and the resources to pay a higher fee for their membership.

(c)  have paid the prescribed membership fee.

Full Members are persons who:

(a)  subscribe to the objectives of the Association, (Association Objectives)

(b)  Demonstrate interest and integrity as stated in their Membership profile which includes: Designations, Relevant experience, and Statement of motivation: why drawn to our association and what can you contribute

(c)  have paid the prescribed membership fee.

Members with special circumstances may apply to the treasurer for reduced rates based on individual circumstances. Two such classes of individuals are recognized:

Students are individuals who:

(a)  subscribe to the objectives of the Association,

(b)  are enrolled in  post-secondary studies,

(c)  have an interest in the practice of group psychotherapy, and

(d)  have paid the prescribed membership fee.

Retired Members are individuals who:

(a)  subscribe to the objectives of the Association;

(b)  have completed practice

(c)  have paid the prescribed membership fee.

Patron Member- $500 annually

Full Members – $150 annually

Student Members – $75 annually

Retiree Members – $75 annually
